In 2010, my birthday was Easter day. Yes, I was also turning 21, so I was excited to be able to experience WDW as a true and full adult. I had attended House of Blues the night before with about 55 of the people I had met on the program. It was a huge and wonderful celebration that turned into a couple of days of incredible fun!
After my awesome night with HOB, I woke up and was heading straight for The Contemporary for Easter Breakfast at The Wave. They had incredible food there, and I settled for a bit of New York Strip Loin, muscles, crab cakes, and tons of fruit salad. This was incredible, I got great food, service, and it was really festive with different Easter decorations.
After leaving The Contemporary, I walked over to the Main Gate of MK to catch a couple pictures with The Easter Bunny, Daisy and Donald in their awesome Easter attire! (Daisy’s purple was awesome). We hung out and rode a few rides, then caught a great seat watching the Easter Procession! Awesome show, and it actually hailed a different answer to the question, “What time is the 3 o’clock parade?” (It was at 2:45).
We finished up at MK, heading over to DHA for Easter cupcakes! Someone heard it was my birthday, and offered me a free cupcake! Talk about awesome customer service and Disney Magic!!! I was granted FP’s for ToT & RnR by an awesome person named Dillan, I’ll never forget her!
After finishing up some awesome times at DHS, I rode over to Cape May for the best dinner I have had, literally EVER. I literally tried every clam chowder, leg of lamb, lobster tail, crab leg, and seafood I could get my hands on. Another incredible Cast Member caught wind of my celebrations, and offered to discount my meal. How crazy, right?!
I finished my night looking at carved Easter eggs, heading to the Polynesian, grabbing the most incredible DOLE WHIP ever, and watching Wishes on the beach.
Easter is a time for being with family, celebrating your beliefs, and making sure that every Easter bunny you possibly own is on display. I didn’t have my blood family around, but if you ask me, I had just as great of a time with my Disney Family!
